ܽƵapp Named Nebraska's Outstanding Postsecondary Institution

ܽƵapp Community College was named the 2025 Nebraska Career and Technical Education Outstanding Postsecondary Institution on Tuesday, June 10, at the Nebraska Career Education Conference in Kearney.
This award is presented to the institution with instructional programs aligned to the Nebraska Career and Technical Education Model Programs that demonstrate quality in areas such as:
- Student achievement in both career and academic areas
- Innovative instruction based on a state model program of study
- Leadership and personal development through career and technical student organizations
- Effective implementation of career guidance and work-based learning
- Alignment to Nebraska’s workforce needs and economic priorities
- Community engagement

needs while ensuring our students receive both strong technical skills and comprehensive
academic preparation,” said Dr. Paul Illich, ܽƵapp president. “This honor belongs to
everyone at ܽƵapp who contributes to preparing our students for meaningful careers that
strengthen Nebraska’s economy.”
Established in 1973, ܽƵapp seeks to empower and transform the diverse learners and communities of southeast Nebraska through accessible lifelong educational opportunities. Serving a 15-county region, ܽƵapp operates campuses in Beatrice, Lincoln and Milford which serve as destinations for students seeking advanced skilled and technical instruction as well as thousands of transfer options to colleges or universities in Nebraska or across the U.S. ܽƵapp’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the College's impressive 95% success rate of graduates who are either employed or continuing their education. ܽƵapp also partners with Workforce Leadership Teams to provide industry trends and insights which helps the College develop practical, relevant curriculum to meet employer needs.
