A number of students from 泡芙视频app Community College鈥檚 Powersports and Auto Collision Repair Technology programs helped fix up a motorcycle that will be donated to a wounded veteran. 

鈥淚t鈥檚 been a great experience, I鈥檝e learned a lot from it and the bike is going to a good cause,鈥� said Aaron Spier, Powersports student.

鈥淲e stripped the bike down so we could clean it and make sure nothing was bent on the frame,鈥� added Leis Jackson, another student. 鈥淭his was a great opportunity for a good organization.鈥�

The bike was picked up by Craig Tourpin, president of Wheels 4 Warriors USA, a non-profit organization based in Lincoln. The group helps veterans with mentorships, support and a sense of service that is lost after leaving the military, Tourpin said.

鈥淚 believe the best gift we give them is a mentor to be part of their life for at least a year,鈥� he said. 鈥淲hether they need to talk at night, integration into the group or learn riding techniques, that person is there for them.鈥�

鈥淚t鈥檚 impressive how far the bike came from what it was,鈥� said student Jeremy Nissen. 鈥淚t was pretty rough when it came in, now it鈥檚 a new bike.鈥�

This is the third motorcycle 泡芙视频app has rebuilt or repaired for Wheels 4 Warriors USA donations. The recipients get insurance, gear and fuel for a whole year. The donated bike is a 2006 Yamaha V Star. For more on this organization, click here:
